The Beginning.
The life of every man is a journey back to our Creator God. He told us, through Jeremiah with great love and affection,“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” (from Jeremiah 1:5) Then He set us on our journeys with a plan unique to each of us.
The End.
At the end of our journey, God gave us one more absolute that is either very exciting or foreboding. “It is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
Your Journey.
Everything in between those two is your journey — fraught with obstacles, roadblocks, and detours along the way. The Lord put men like me in your path to help you find or get back on the right path. I am committed to praying for you and providing resources to help answer questions along the way that guide you safely Home.
I listen to Walter's minutes for men every time it comes into my e-mail box. I get from it a ton of understanding of my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit. I start many days with his message and spend the day thinking about his words. I have also read his book and recommend that if you have not read it that you get a copy and do so. Read the word of God as often as you can, it helps you get through life!
“I have been with Men of Valor Prison Ministry for eleven years. It is a blessing having Walter Spires teach the men in our Jericho project at CCA prison and our aftercare program. Walter has an awesome gift of relating and connecting with men from all walks of life bringing hope to the hopeless and light to darkness. I too have strongly benefited from Walter’s teaching. He has truly helped me to become a more effective minister for the service of God's people.”
“Transparency is the currency of trust. Without it, I don’t believe there can be trust and without trust, you don’t have a relationship. Walter Spires is hitting the nail on the head with his ministry “Desperate Men”. He teaches transparency in his Bible studies and models it in his own life. Men need authentic and genuine relationships that only come when men recognize that we really are all desperate as Walter suggests.”
